7. Joy

The flickers of the candle are so much like the glimmer in Leonard's eye as

he teases him about one thing or another, the gleam in his bond mate's eye

in that moment before they kiss and the twinkle Leonard gets when he's

mischievous.

Leonard's eyes are so changeable in their moods, so clear, forthright and

honest. The fact that Leonard allows Spock to look into his eyes and see his

soul fills Spock with a secret joy. For it gives him a chance to see all

that Leonard is, was, and has the potential to become with time.
