Beauty

8. Beauty

 By Qzeebrella

Spock looks at the shadows in the room, made darker and more obvious by the

flickering candlelight. There is beauty in shadows, in how they move with

the flickering light, how they waft to and fro, how they lay lightly and

gently upon and under the objects in the room. Shadows flicker within

Leonard's eyes often, dousing the fiery brilliance that shines out from

them, stealing away the warmth of compassion, leaving a sense of weariness

around him. But the light of Leonard's soul always comes back to shine out

of those glorious eyes of his, to shine beauty out upon those he glances

upon.
