Home is Where
Spock looked at the IDIC pin that Doctor McCoy had given
him as a gift. This was a small, understated piece of jewelry,
in design, pleasing to the eye. Spock looked up to thank
his old friend and realized the doctor seemed more nervous than
giving of a Christmas gift would warrant. Hope surged through
the vulcan, but it did not show on his face.
"Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combination." he murmured,
thinking of the Vulcan/Terran combination he most desired. "I
"Dammit, Spock," the CMO growsed, "can't you even call me
Leonard at a party?"
"Very well, Leonard." Spock replied, holding out a flat,
festively wrapped package to McCoy.
McCoy just stared at the package. "What's that?"
Spock's eyebrow rose. "As the parcel is wrapped
traditional holiday paper, Leonard, surely even you can deduce
that it is a gift."
"I *know* that, but what *is* it?"
Spock's other eyebrow rose and he tapped the name tag on

"I believe it is customary for the recipient of the gift to open

what the package contains. Do you intend to do so, or is it
intention that I should stand here all night with this in my
hand? If you do not wish to open the gift--"
He drew his hand back, but with a muttered, "Give me that
damned thing." McCoy snatched the package out of the vulcan's

It was Spock's turn to be nervous now. He
waited for long
seconds as Leonard McCoy looked at the gift. It was a hologram
which Spock had artfully pieced together

flowers in the foreground.
However, one's attention could not
help but be centered on the two men halfway up the porch steps.
Blue eyes laughed

humor as the holographic Spock's hand reached out to grasp the
hand of Leonard McCoy. "Oh, yes." Leonard
almost to softly for the vulcan to hear. "Oh, *please* yes."

"You would not," Spock's low voice caressed Leonard, sending
shivers through him, "be interested in it's numerical name.

he made a

the Vulcan's hand

increasingly impatient with its

himself early. He wondered
if he should not just do that so he
did not seem out of character. He would have to get Leonard's
attention. Then he
recalled that Leonard usually *did* stay

He felt a tug at his uniform sleeve. He turned
Mr. Scott standing there. "Ye all right, Sir?" He had not
noticed when the engineer had come over to him, a
sure sign of
his preoccupation with Leonard.
"I am fine, thank you, Mr. Scott."
"Ye seem a wee bit distracted. Are ye sure?"
"Quite sure." Spock glanced over to where McCoy and
Kirk stood together surrounded by the usual crowd of crew
Scott smiled knowingly.
He and the Vulcan had known each
other longer than any of the other officers. They had developed a
sound respect for
each other while serving under Chris Pike
which had become a true friendship over the years. Scott had
a special adhesive for Spock when he made the hologram
for McCoy .. the adhesive was what let him piece the thing
giving it that stain glass effect. "Ye gave it to him,
"And he accepted it?"
Spock nodded again.
"Then ye be wantin to get
out o' here."
Spock nodded one more time, his eyes never leaving McCoy.
"Not to talkative this even'n, are ye?"
Spock turned to look at the engineer. He had no idea what
say. He took a deep breath. "I did not want to be to
conspicuous. I am sure others are aware of the attraction between
and myself, but I would not feel comfortable if..." He
paused gazing around the room at all the people and shook his

he *really* ready for this? "perhaps I have made a mistake."
Scotty's smile was sympathetic. "Och, nay, Mr. Spock, yer

long. He wants it as much as you do." Scott looked around. "Ye
jus' head on oot. Ye two already have plans?"
"Yes. We are to meet in Leonard's quarters."
"Get ye gone, then. He'll meet ye there."
Spock's leave taking was uneventful. He proceeded in his
usual manner and bid his fellow shipmates a good evening. He
out the door before he saw the look of frustrated longing on
McCoy's face. Scott didn't miss the look and caught the doctor's
McCoy knew Scotty and Spock had shared a secret or two over
the years. He hoped desperately this was one of those times.
Scott walked over to stand beside the Captain, addressing
his commanding officer. "Begg'n the Captain's pardon. Doctor,

"But, Doctor, a few o' the lads go' a friendly bet on
whether ye can change her mind er no'." He then looked at the
"Tis' no' gamblin mind ye. Tis' just a friendly jest."
Kirk smiled at his engineer. "That's good,
because you know how I feel about gambling on my ship."
McCoy snickered. "Yeah,
he has to be dealt in for it to be
O.K., and he has to win for it to stay O.K."
Laughing too, Kirk playfully shoved McCoy on the shoulder.
"Just for that, you're giving a lecture, Bones." he teased.

me this time."
"Aye, Captain." Scotty grinned at his captain, then turned

McCoy followed Scotty over to the
far side of the room.
"There's no girl, right?" he asked hopefully when they were out
of earshot of the captain.
Scotty just smiled. He stopped and looked around the room.
"Now's yer chance to get out. Go." He was still smiling. "Oh,
Merry Christmas to ye both."
McCoy smiled. "Same to you, Scotty." He slipped out the

Leonard made his way through the corridor and to the lift.
He got off at his level and went towards his quarters.
just outside. Now that he was here, he was nervous, damn nervous.
His palms were sweating and he could feel
little droplets forming
on his brow. He took a deep breath stepping through the doorway.
The lights did not come up to their usual setting. He
scanned around the room. There were candles lit throughout his
His wall viewer was set on a scene depicting a rustic
cabin decorated for Christmas. Pine boughs and garland were
over the archway, wooden ceiling beams and the mantle over
the fireplace. Set in the center of the mantel tapered red

fireplace. On the raised hearth, a sleeping cat lay curled on a

thousands of tiny, twinkling lights. Leonard stood before the

"That is our living room." The warm deep voice came from
behind him. He
turned to face the owner. He couldn't think of
anything to say. How could Spock have possibly known? "This is
wanted, is it not?" the Vulcan felt a wave of
unsuredness. Why, wasn't he saying anything? He *always* had
Leonard turned back to the scene. "It's perfect." He
whispered, afraid to speak to
loudly. He began to feel a little
like he should have gotten something more for Spock's present.
What he had given Spock
had been trivial, nothing, compared to

long time. He'd imagined a thousand different
each one, he knew *exactly* what to say and do, but with the real
thing, he was failing badly. He could
feel the sweat on his brow.
"You are overly warm." Spock observed. " I had turned the

Leonard whispered just barely loud enough for the Vulcan to

was taken aback. One elegant eyebrow raised. "You are
afraid of me?" He had not thought about this reaction. In fact,
had not reacted in any of the ways Spock had considered
Leonard might act. Spock had expected his companion to react in
emotional manner, a little more outspoken, a little more
active. He had prepared himself for dealing with *these*
as he rationalized them to happen. They weren't
happening as he had theorized, and he did not know what to do.
"No! Oh no. I'm not afraid of *you.* I'm afraid of saying
the wrong thing, like I just did."
The other eyebrow rose to join it's mate. "Why do you
believe you said the wrong thing?"
gave you the wrong impression about how I was feeling."
"No harm was done."
"Not this time."
Spock stepped a little closer and reached up, his fingers
the side of the human's face. He gazed into the
blue eyes. "Do you want this, Leonard?"
"There may be times when we say the wrong thing. Just like
we have before."
Leonard knew that
was true. And they had always gotten
around it. He studied the eyes in front of him. He could see tiny
the reflection of the lights from the tree and the
fireplace danced in his warm brown eyes. "Yes."
Spock reached to take the package his friend still held, the
alien heat kindled a fire in Leonard, it flared into life
filled his blue eyes with passion. Yes. At last, the reaction for
which Spock had longed. He reached for Leonard's
drawing his human to him. Leonard didn't know who had moved
first. He just knew their lips met and he felt
his insides melt
in a wave. Spock could feel the tenderness of Leonard's touch and
he knew it was right. It may not
be logical, but it was right.
This man before him had given him something no one else had been
able to -- his human
soul. He did not think he could ever repay
that. But this was not about repaying a debt. It was about them.
It was about
joining forever. It was about becoming one. He
wanted to be one with this being.
his hand behind Leonard's head and pulled him in
closer. He pressed his body up tight against him and could feel
hands on his back hugging him just as tight. Spock
moved his other hand around Leonard's waist. Their mouths locked
with fire. Open, moving, tasting, tongues reaching and
probing, they were losing themselves to the moment.
Spock pulled back then, moved to Leonard's neck, kissing and
nipping. Leonard tilted his head to give him better access,
softly. The surgeon's hands stroked up and down the
length of Spock's spine, pressing him close, molding them
Spock couldn't breath and he didn't care. He moved down
and wanted the shirt gone. He pulled it up over Leonard's head,
it was gone. He kissed down his chest then his stomach. He
grabbed the fastener to Leonard's pants and undid it. He heard
moan, and smiled.
Leonard's head was spinning. Every touch from the Vulcan was
fire and god how he wanted to burn. He could feel the
kisses on his stomach. He put his hands on the dark head and
a light pressure downward, lifting his hips up. He felt
his pants being undone and pulled part way down. A wave shot
him and he thought he was going to faint. Spock was
moving back up and Leonard put his arms around him noticing for
first time that his shirt was also gone. He almost fell over,
but Spock had his arms around him.
Spock moved him to the bed and laid down on top of him,
kissing and moving his hands everywhere Leonard moved in
He wanted to touch *everything.* Spock slowed and knelt
down at the edge of the bed. He removed Leonard's boots, then
his pants off. He stood up and removed his own boots and
Leonard sat up and pulled the
Vulcan close to him. He kissed
his stomach, then slowly ran circles with his tongue around
Spock's navel then down to
his hairline, feeling the other man's
sharp intake of breath as he wrapped his hands around Spock's
tight ass. With
the rigid member before him, he teased the tip
with his tongue and the Vulcan pushed his pelvis forward. He
to the Vulcan's abdomen. He ran his tongue back and
forth then to the groin. He moved to the tops of his hips and
gently pushed him back.
Spock laid down beside his lover. Using his hand, he gently
the length of Leonard's body. Touching lightly, he
caressed in tiny circles with his fingertips. Leonard sighed. He
over and placed his mouth on the rigid tiny nipple. It
felt warm and soft. Leonard couldn't contain the gasp. He
and pulled Spock up to him. Their mouths met with
hunger. Spock placed his hand on Leonard's chest slowly rubbing.
Leonard moved and rolled them over, putting Spock on the
bottom, smiling at the look of surprise in his lover's eyes.
and ... his breath caught sharply in his throat at the
sight of the raw emotions he saw in those mesmerizing eyes. "Oh,

Spock gazed steadily into those deep blue windows of his
and knew where he belonged. "I cherish thee."
Slowly, Leonard turned his attention back to his
body, beginning his own probing. Kissing down Spock's chest, he
paused at the center of his breast plate and
rubbed his chin
along his sternum. Spock exhaled quickly. Leonard then moved back
down to Spock's abdomen kissing lightly

Spock arched his back, trying to move his throbbing member to
Instead, Leonard moved to the sides of his groin flicking
and teasing. Spock sighed heavily as he writhed in unison to
touch. Leonard started moving back up by lying the side of his
face on Spock's abdomen. He rubbed it the whole length
back up to
meet his mouth, reveling in the feel of the man's skin against
his cheek, his lips.
Spock rolled them back and started rubbing his whole body up
and down Leonard's. Moving together in rhythm the kissing
caressing intensified. Leonard couldn't catch his breath. He
wanted every part of the Vulcan. He slowed and Spock
him. Breathing heavily, Leonard laid flat on his back and
positioned Spock between his legs. At first, he
wasn't sure if
Spock would know what he wanted. Spock stopped and leaned over to
the side. Leonard thought he was going
to get up, but he didn't.
He had retrieved a small bottle from the night stand. Still
between his legs he got up on
his knees facing Leonard, emptied
some of the content onto his hand then started to rub his
throbbing manhood. Leonard
watched, loving every stroke he saw.
He reached down to his own member. It was harder than he could
ever remember it
being. He stroked it as he watched Spock, saw
the answering flare of passion in the vulcan's eyes. He sat up
Spock's cock. Sucking lightly on the tip he was
rewarded with a tiny taste of his essence. He laid back down and
leaned down over him putting his hand on Leonard's ass.
Leonard moaned and lifted his legs into the air, wanting more.
rectum was afire, aching in a way he did not know it could.
Spock massaged some of the lube on that tiny hole, longing
within its depths. He worked one finger in, then two and three.
He worked them around, touching a nodule that
throughout his partner's body. Spock leaned a little closer. With
one hand on his driving shaft he got
the tip inside easily
enough. Spock wrapped one arm around Leonard's leg pulling it
forward. He rocked slowly back and
forth, in and out. With each
"in", he applied more pressure and was soon sliding all the way
in and most of the way
out. Leonard rocked with each stroke, his
senses reeling in the rhythm their bodies created, everything
Spock was moving faster with fluid motions and they were
breathing harder. He grabbed
Leonard by the back of the neck and
their foreheads met. At that moment, Leonard could feel an odd
sensation. He was
becoming aware of the sensations Spock was
feeling. He was having trouble keeping his shields up and with
bodies in physical contact he had no control. They
were one, each feeling the other in and out. Spock could feel
inside himself and Leonard could feel the same. The
burning was building like it had never built before. A wave of
nausea rocked the core of their being, a scream of pure
ecstasy raged through their minds. Inside and out, they quaked,
shuddered, exploding and imploding at the same time.
A white hot euphoric solar wind hit with
enough ferocity to
knock them near unconsciousness. Panting heavily the two lay
there so still one would think they
were unconscious. After what
might have seemed an eternity, one finally moved. Spock lifted
himself just enough to slide
over to the side of Leonard. Lying
half on and half off of Leonard, he opened his eyes. "Are you all
Leonard couldn't find his voice yet. All that came out was a
gasp and a nod. He tried to reach up to Spock, but his arm
like rubber. Every ounce of energy had been taken out of him. The
last thing he remembered was feeling Spock nuzzle
up to his neck.
Spock knew Leonard was still feeling the rush from their
he could feel it too -- his own and Leonard's
mingling in the space of their beings. As one, they drifted off
in the warm glow of hearth and home.
A Scottsman held up his glass and murmured. "Merry
