Vulcan dietary law has more restrictions than almost any other culture
I know of. It can take the better part of a day shopping in a large
interspecies market before I find something I can buy that will both
satisfy Spock's sweet tooth AND fall within what he's allowed to have.

In fact, last time we were on Risa I had to bribe a chocolatier into
trying a new recipe, but it was worth it. For the smile on Spock's
face at tasting his chocolate birthday cake and the sensuous sigh once
he finished his large slice.
