Since it has been a while since our last themed issue, our next issue, Spiced Peaches XXXI,
will also have a theme. As was mentioned on the Submission Guidelines page, this theme is "Danger." All stories and artwork
should relate to disaster, doom, fear of death, or the recovery therefrom (e.g. hurt/comfort).
Fortunately, this is Star Trek, so there is plenty of canon to fit the bill, as well as AUs.
A few ideas for inspiration and places to look (this is not exhaustive):
-Amok Time/Pon farr (mate or die)
-Spock's death and rebirth arc from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and Star Trek III: The Search
for Spock.
-All Our Yesterdays (trapped in a cave in the past with no way to get home, also freezing to
death)
-Catspaw (Alien takeovers and Halloween specials)
-The Doomsday Machine (the end of the universe as we know it)
-For the World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky (life-threatening illness)
-The City on the Edge of Forever (time travel changes the future)
-Operation: Annihilate! (Evil parasites)
-The Galileo Seven (small group separated from the Enterprise and left possibly to die)
-Space Seed (Eugenics will be the death of us all)
-Mirror Mirror (The Mirror Universe is danger from beginning to end)
-The Empath (torture and hurt/comfort)
