I know that I explained the theme a bit on the Submission
Guidelines page, but I want to restate it here.
The
next issue's theme is "Mirror Universe."
This might seem like a narrow category, but there's a lot that can be done with it.
All
submissions should involve the Mirror Universe in some way. This can include but is not wholly limited to:
-Stories that take place entirely within the MU -
past, present, or future.
-Stories that involve canon encountering
the MU in some way (e.g. characters switching, a tear in the fabric of space-time etc.)
-Stories that take place during "Mirror, Mirror" or in the aftermath, such as from the forced meld.
-Artwork of MU characters.
-Artwork of canon characters
in the MU.
-Artwork involving the infamous forced mind meld and
aftermath.
Because the theme is the Mirror Universe, it's all
the more imperative to appropriately add disclaimers and warnings for your stories and other submissions. Please put appropriate
ratings and warnings. Particularly for BDSM and non-con or dub-con.
TOS and AOS encounters with the MU are acceptable, as are Spock or McCoy in a future series (TNG, DS9, VOY) and the
Mirror Universe, since we know they lived for so long.
